stone·fruit (noun): a fruit with a stony endocarp — Merriam-Webster

I write a lot of things down. Mostly notes, a little bit of journalling, not too much of research or anything like that, but over the past few months i've spent more time reading the things i've written in the past.

What has been particularly interesting to me about this is a lot of the ideas and lessons I learned and wrote down 2, 3, 4 years ago, I had since completely forgotten, then re-experienced, and re-learned, and re-documented. It made me think about the amount of my thoughts that are lost to the past if I don't write them down.

Going through your own past writing (notes, journals, voice memos, etc.) is also cool, because it helps you chart a narrative for your life. I can look at what I was into a few years ago, and compare it to what i'm into now.

Its unclear to me what exactly STONEFRUIT will be, or should be. I have many dreams and goals, and the hope is that this can be a vehicle, or rather a container for many of those. Until then tho, it will operate as a mix between a journal and a portfolio for my future self to look back on.

FYI: I grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. I like peaches and nectarines a lot. and orange is my favorite color. This name came to me last spring, when Whole Foods started stocking peaches and nectarines in Seattle. It was early season, so they were kinda hard and sour, but good none the less.
